Agree with you an action plan; to address and resolve the cause, and to promote a speedy return to full fitness.
Apply appropriate therapy to treat the problem and promote recovery.
Provide you with the resources to enhance full recovery by means of
- Self-Treatment,
- Individualised Mobility & Flexibility Programmes,
- Strength Programmes and other relevant and appropriate advice
Always ready and pleased to discuss the best way for you to return to full training & how you might ensure an injury free future.
The majority of running injuries fall into the "overuse" category.
In addition to treating your injury problem - providing therapy to hasten your recovery - it's frequently neccessary to look at other factors that maybe have contributed to, or caused the problem.
Issues such as training history, recent changes in training load, your movement patterns, biomechanics and running shoes will feature in this. We'd need to consider muscle weakness, imbalances or areas of tension as well.
You can expect a full assessment, treatment to assist your recovery, a recovery plan, self treatment advice, training advice, possibly orthotics if needed.
Many committed runners have a regular Sports Massage.
This serves as a useful early warning device to find and eliminate any injury issues before they become critical.
Why not consider it for yourself?
Regular treatment also carries the benefit of speeding up recovery from hard training, enabling a faster adaptation and improved training progression.
Weekly massage is tremendous, once a month or once a quarter can pay significant dividends.
UK Athletics pays for our high performance athletes to have frequent massage, they don't give their funds out lightly, so it's an indicator of the esteem in which Sports Massage is held at the top level of our sport.

Discounted rates are available for athletes who take regular treatments.

Want to know about me as a runner?
Involved in athletics since 1982 as a middle distance and endurance runner, still training, still competing, still enjoying it, still obsessed, if you race, we've probably lined up together.
I've become drawn into coaching over the last 10 years and work with a great group of athletes at Chichester Runners & A.C.
In coaching my philosophy is athlete centred; all runner orientated, irrespective of individual ability or club affiliation. We all need to stretch out, reaching for our personal potential. This has involved me with the training programmes of individual athletes from across the county as well as my club commitments.Currently engaged with UK:Athletics in the latter part of my own Level 4 High Performance Coach education pathway I contribute regularly to the learning programme of other sports coaches.
